Installation took about 30 minutes using a drill and screwdriver. The door comes with a template which helped a lot. Works with my heavy breed chickens – no issues with them getting stuck. I like that you can program different times for weekdays vs weekends? Actually, you can only set one schedule, but you can manually override. Still, it does the job. Battery life seems good – been 3 weeks and still full power.

I’ve had this door for about two months now, and honestly it’s been a lifesaver. The automatic timer works perfectly – I set it to open at 6:30 AM and close at 8 PM, and it hasn’t missed a day. The anti-jam feature is great too; my curious hen tried to squeeze out when it was closing and the door just reversed right away. Battery life seems decent so far, though I wish the low battery indicator was a bit more noticeable. Overall, solid buy for the price.

I was worried about the door jamming in cold weather, but it’s been through a few frosty mornings and still opens and closes without a hitch. The timer keeps accurate time even with temperature swings. One suggestion for the manufacturer: add a solar panel option so we don’t have to change batteries. But for the price, this is a very good product. My chickens are safer now.
