Works as advertised but be aware - this is ONLY for latch plates, not strike plates like I initially thought. Once I realized that, it performed great. The included drill guides are a nice bonus.

This template made installing my door latch so much easier! The aluminum feels really sturdy and the adjustable guides helped me get perfect alignment. Only thing is I wish it came with a small instruction sheet - took me a few tries to figure out the depth settings.
The instructions could be clearer about depth adjustments - took some trial and error to get it right. But once dialed in, wow! Perfectly consistent recesses every time. The orange highlights make it easy to spot in my messy workshop too.
